 Shakarkandi Ka Halwa | Sweet Potato Halwa


Shakarkandi ka halwa



Ingredients:-

  • Shakarkandi/Sweet Potato 1kg
  • Milk 2 glass
  • Sugar 12 Tbsp
  • Almond as required
  • Cardamom Powder (seeds of 4-5 piece)
  • Ghee 4-5 Tbsp

Method:-
  • Take Shakarkandi/sweet potato and cut the upper and lower end.
  • Take a pan, add Approx 1 liter of water.
  • Boil Sweet Potatoes in it
  • Once they are nicely boiled, remove their skin and mash them.
  • Keep it aside.
  • Cut almonds into small pieces for garnish.
  • Take a pan and add ghee to it.
  • Once it is heated, add mashed sweet potatoes and mix it well.
  • Add milk and sugar and mix all together nicely.
  • Cook for 10 mins and then add half of the cut almonds to it.
  • Mix all together well.
  • Add cardamom powder and mix it well
  • Shakarkandi halwa is ready, garnish with almonds.
